Snowing on my piano

Bugge Wesseltoft’s album It’s Snowing on My Piano was released in 1997 and has since become a modern Christmas classic. Many consider his concerts a “must” for experiencing the peaceful and beautiful spirit of Christmas.

 Bugge himself tells the story behind the album:

“Snowing on My Piano was created out of a desire for calm and tranquillity during Christmas – a break from stress, the frenzy of gift-buying, and the pressure to be overwhelmingly happy all the time. As a young man, I worked in an emergency unit at a psychiatric hospital, and it was a shock to discover that Christmas is also a season marked by depression, loneliness and domestic violence. When a German record company asked me to create a solo piano album of Christmas songs, I was deeply uncertain, but eventually agreed on the condition that I could record it in my own way. Loving one another and making time for each other is the most important thing we can do at Christmas.”
