Loop

Chriz Nypan's new work "Loop" is a bodily experience of rhythm and sound. On stage, we meet four dancers and a DJ, where the bodies take the lead, creating rhythm, sound, and music on their own terms. Movement becomes music, and musical memories build the sound landscape, processed "live" on stage.

The performance is constructed from acoustic sounds from the space and the body, further developed through looping, filtering, and manipulation using music technology. The boundary between the audience and performers slowly fades away, together forming a listening mass that responds to the music. Through their physical experience, they become co-creators in the performance. Through rhythmic patterns, repetitions, and other bodily sounds, the human body and mind are brought into a trance through auditory and kinesthetic movement.
