Sing Child Sing is a new solo work by British choreographer and performer Botis Seva, one of the leading voices in contemporary dance today. In just a few years, Seva has established an international reputation through his company Far From The Norm, acclaimed works such as BLKDOG, and a distinctive movement language that brings together hip hop, contemporary dance and physical theatre.

In Sing Child Sing, Seva turns his gaze inward. Drawing on autobiographical experiences, he explores how abandonment, faith and frustration become embedded in the body—and what it takes to loosen the grip of the past.

How do we protect ourselves while allowing the past to teach us? And how do we move forward without living in its shadow?

Alone on stage, Seva transforms the body into both an archive and a site of resistance. Within a shifting landscape shaped by light, sound and memory, the past and present exist side by side as inherited patterns are confronted and gradually reshaped.

Created in collaboration with Far From The Norm, Sing Child Sing is an intimate and uncompromising exploration of identity, healing and the invisible legacies carried from one generation to the next. Through extraordinary physical precision and emotional clarity, Botis Seva creates a deeply personal portrait of a man suspended between memory and possibility, vulnerability and resilience.
