Nils Petter Molvær – Khmer

From Masqualero to collabs with Sly & Robbie and Bill Laswell, Nils Petter Molvær has been at the forefront of groundbreaking innovation at the intersection of jazz and electronic club music. Through decades of experimentation and close collaborations with virtually every leading Scandinavian jazz musician of the past four decades, he has established himself as one of Norwegian jazz’s greatest names – both nationally and internationally.

The reason? He is constantly searching, constantly creating, and always pushing the boundaries of the genre. Nearly 28 years after the release of his landmark album, Molvær and his band remain as vital and driven as ever, continuing to explore new musical territories.

Taking the stage in the Main Hall at the end of October is a band that truly represents the forefront of Norwegian jazz: Eivind Aarset (guitar), Jan Bang (live sampling), DJ Strangefruit (turntables), Audun Erlien (bass), Rune Arnesen (drums) and Per Lindvall (drums).
