Julie Kleive and NyNorsk Messingkvintett give the world premiere of a newly written work by Kleive, which through text, music and six breathing instruments explores the symbiotic quality of closeness and the listening quality of distance.

Julie Kleive is a musician and artist with deep roots and an open outlook – a rare combination of the down-to-earth and the searching. From small and large moments throughout life come words and tones in response – songs emerge. She is driven by musical human encounters, and her intimate delivery and unpretentious musicality have made her a sought-after singer, musician, songwriter, producer and composer across widely different musical contexts. From her own song universe "være været være værende" [to be the weather, to be being], to songs set to poems by Bjerke/Bjørneboe composed by Marcus Paus, via hymns by Jon Fosse and Andreas Utnem, and indie-folk-pop songs with the duo July August, to sonic compositions and improvisations with Kristin Bolstad's Stemmeklang.
