Christian Grøvlen
One of Norway’s foremost pianists joins the Sandvika Master Series with a programme of Grieg, Rachmaninoff, Chopin and his own works.
If there is one thing Christian Grøvlen is passionate about, it is sharing music with audiences. Whether as a solo pianist, chamber musician or director of KODE’s composers’ homes in Bergen, everything he does is built on a rock-solid foundation. His deep commitment to music and his ability to communicate its essence are unmistakable.
Grøvlen has appeared as a soloist with both the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, and is a highly sought-after accompanist. He has performed concerts both in Norway and internationally, and when he comes to the Sandvika Master Series in October, audiences can look forward to an exceptional evening.
The programme for this Wednesday evening features works by Grieg, Rachmaninoff and Chopin, as well as selected preludes composed by Grøvlen himself. The audience will experience a broad spectrum of expression, ranging from passionate and tempestuous works to lyrical and intimate pieces.
